All ages and abilities are welcome! Guests are encouraged to become involved in sailing the vessel; hauling the sails, taking the helm, riding the bowsprit etc. Some people prefer to relax and enjoy which is fine, nothing is compulsory! We do fun stuff like firing our cannon on unsuspecting passersby. When the season is right, we drag a fishing line, do some crabbing and always incorporate special events that are taking place on the water. We impart local marine history, geological facts, info on marine wildlife, and throw in a sailing lesson in a casual environment. We encourage passengers to bring along a picnic. Alcohol is permitted however this is not a booze cruise... We provide all warm and wet weather gear, coolers, ice, glasses, openers and sunscreen.
This tour is all about the tall ship sailing experience. We motor out of the harbour, haul the sails and set our course. The destination varies with the wind and tide. We sail within a 15 km radius within Royal Roads which includes: the historic Fisgard Lighthouse, the Naval harbour, Esquimalt Lagoon up to Whitty’s Lagoon. We go out as far as the shipping lane and down to Clover Point and Trial Island . There is a variety of marine life and spectacular scenery. Departure time varies to capitalize on the weather conditions.
